I read Hearts at Stake in less than a day. It was a short read, under 300 pages. This book is about a family of vampires who associate themselves with humans. The Drake family consists of seven boys and one girl. This one girl, Solange, is supposed to be the vampire queen. She gets kidnapped and one of her brothers and her best friend, Lucy, seek out to save her. This book was a fun read. If you are looking for something heavy I would not recommend this book for that. However, if you are looking for a cute, paranormal romance then this is something you should read. I was hardly ever bored while reading it and I was yearning for the sequel. Hope this helps :)
